UNLESS Collective

The client came to us at FIR Northwest requesting a comprehensive interactive pop-up experience to raise awareness of the brand and its mission—reversing the negative effects of the fashion and textile industries on the climate.

I headed copywriting efforts for social media content with the design expertise of Aya Boutwell.

The team and I produced thoughtful, engaging content that held true to UNLESS’ core: leave nothing and no one behind. This included:

  • Distributing fresh, locally-sourced flowers to students featuring a QR code with the event details, printed on seeded paper

  • Designing and assembling a logo-shaped garden bed to highlight an actively biodegrading UNLESS t-shirt

  • Creating live logo artwork (via chia seeds!)

  • Assembling live moss informational panels

  • Hosting a live podcast with co-founder and CEO, Eric Liedtke

The event generated impressive turnout on Portland State’s notoriously low-engagement, commuter campus.
